Fees and Insurance

It is important to me that these services be available and affordable for anyone who wants them. Many people have and choose to use insurance for their therapy.

I am an in-network provider for:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Medica

  • UnitedHealth Care

  • PreferredOne/Aetna

  • Medicare

  • Medical Assistance

  • Hennepin Health

  • UCare

Some other insurances may also cover my services, and it is usually possible to bill your insurance as an out-of-network provider for reduced benefits. Please check with your insurance company directly regarding your coverage.

Questions to ask your insurance company include:

  • Is Kelsey Kreider Starrs an in-network provider for my plan?

  • What is my in-network deductible for mental/behavioral health?

  • What is my in-network co-pay for mental/behavioral health?

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible for mental/behavioral health?

  • What is my out-of-network co-insurance for mental/behavioral health?

  • Do I have a limit on the number of sessions per year?

For those who are unable to use insurance or prefer to not, I offer a sliding fee scale. Please contact me if you'd like to discuss the sliding scale fee, particularly if you would like to negotiate a lower rate that fits both of our needs.
